Ondas Ceramics
Identity, art direction and an online shop for a ceramics studio whose hand-glazed tableware now ships to more than thirty countries.

The brief
Ondas makes stoneware by hand in a small workshop outside Porto. Orders from abroad were growing quickly, but the online shop showed every glaze in the same flat light, and customers were often surprised when their pieces arrived.
The approach
We built the identity around the studio’s glazes: a palette taken directly from the test tiles, and a soft rounded wordmark that echoes a freshly thrown bowl. Product pages now open with how each glaze shifts between morning and evening light, followed by honest notes on texture and care.

A folded paper-pulp insert replaced plastic fillers in every box and doubles as a small display stand once the piece is unpacked.
The outcome
- Online sales up 70% year on year
- Returns for colour mismatch down from 9% to 2%
- Plastic removed from every shipment
