Identity & website2022

Norrbo Arkitekter

A restrained identity and portfolio website for a Stockholm architecture practice whose buildings speak in concrete, glass and light.

The brief

Norrbo is a practice of fourteen architects with a reputation for quiet, carefully made buildings. Their old website buried the work under long statements, and competition entries were assembled from scratch every time.

The approach

The identity steps back so the architecture can lead. A wordmark set in a precise grotesk, a strict grid borrowed from their own drawing sets, and generous white space give every project room to breathe.

Projects are presented large, with plans and sections one click away.

A matching template system for competition boards and printed monographs means the team now prepares submissions in days instead of weeks.

The outcome

  • Shortlisted for three public competitions in its first year
  • Enquiries from new clients up 45%
  • Submission preparation time cut by two thirds
